WIF 2010 - webdesign international festival - France

2 days left before the international and french online preselections… People ask questions, we answer them. This is our express guide to make it to the final. What else?
Who, where, how… there are many possible questions for these preselections. Here come our official 12 steps to become a world-class happy webdesigner next June in Limoges!

1. Each team member (from 1 to 3) register online independently (10€ each). You’ll get a confirmation email for your registration. Then you’ll get your personal login+password to MY WIF.
2. Your team leader asks for being the one on MY WIF.
3. His/her “teamleaderness” is validated.
4. He sends an invitation to his team mates (via MY WIF).
5. They accept it (still on MY WIF).
6. The team leader asks for the overall team validation (watch out for the team’s name, there’s no coming back). The game is ON…
7. On Friday 2.00pm (GMT+1, Paris Time), each team member gets the official preselection theme and his ftp access (+ specs).
   >>> NB: you can register until the very last minute. As there is a short delay to validate teams it is much wiser to register before Friday 10.00am (GMT+1)<<<
8. Take some time to read the specs thoroughly and try out your ftp during the first hour.
9. One hour before the end of the preselection, it is highly recommanded to upload your project. At 2.00pm sharp on Saturday, your access is closed…
10. The jury gathers during March to select the finalists. Criteria for this selection are, among others, creativity, ergonomics, accessibility, copywriting… The official language for the websites to design is English.
    The jury members are a well-known webdesigner, a leading french blogger, webdesign teachers, a community manager, a journalist… you’ll get the name soon!
11. The teams selected to come to the final in Limoges will be granted with transportation and hotel (and free access to all conferences).
